Abstract

This article proposes a Mudarabah-based crowdfunding model as an alternative Sharia-compliant public financing mechanism to support the conservation of heritage tourism sites in Malaysia. This study uses a conceptual model-building approach based on literature analysis. The background highlights the financing limitations faced by the heritage sector, which is heavily dependent on government allocations. By integrating Islamic finance principles, digital fintech solutions, and Sharia-compliant governance, a transparent, sustainable, and inclusive financing model can be created to empower the sustainability of heritage sites.
