This study aims to describe halal supply chain management in Indonesia in-depth, from theoretical to practical reviews. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. The research location is Indonesia. Data has been collected through in-depth interviews with industry players, regulators, and halal experts. In addition, document analysis related to regulations, standards, and halal supply chain management practices has been carried out. The analysis results have been compared with existing literature and theories to identify gaps between theory and practice. This study concludes that consumer awareness and demand for halal products continue to increase, which drives companies to implement halal supply chain management. Consumer education on the importance of halal products and how they can identify them also needs to be improved. More consistent and comprehensive standards and stricter regulatory enforcement are required to ensure compliance throughout the supply chain. Investment in logistics infrastructure and technology to monitor and track halal products along the supply chain can improve efficiency and reliability. Cooperation between the government, certification bodies, industry, and academia is needed to develop training and certification programs to enhance businesses’ understanding and competence in halal supply chain management. Finally, while there are challenges in implementing halal supply chain management in Indonesia, there are also many opportunities to improve the system through better regulation, adequate infrastructure, and consumer education and awareness. With the proper measures in place, Indonesia can take the lead in global halal supply chain management, ensuring that halal products not only fulfil Sharia standards but are also of high quality and can be trusted by consumers worldwide.
